Lily Stewart, a 20-year-old University of Georgia student, has once again found herself in legal trouble after a second arrest, just days after her first viral mugshot took the internet by storm. Dubbed the 'Hot Mugshot Girl' by social media users, Stewart’s latest arrest has only added to her growing online fame.
Stewart was arrested early Sunday morning by university police on misdemeanour charges of obstruction of a law enforcement officer and loitering/prowling, TMZ reported. She was booked into jail at 5:26 am but was released before 11 am after posting a USD 4,000 bond.
This arrest follows her first widely publicised run-in with the law on March 8, when she was pulled over twice in just minutes for speeding. The Georgia State Police reported that Stewart was caught driving at 79 mph in a 55 mph zone and was issued a citation. However, within two minutes, she was pulled over again, this time for driving even faster—84 mph in the same 55 mph zone.

A Mugshot That Went Viral
Stewart’s first mugshot captivated social media users due to her polished appearance. In the now-famous picture, she dons a beige off-shoulder top, pearl earrings, and neatly styled highlighted hair. Her wide smile, showcasing perfect white teeth, led to an outpouring of humorous and flirtatious comments online.
“Free her,” one person wrote, while another jokingly asked, “Is her phone number in the report? Asking for a friend.”
Her Reaction To Sudden Fame
Speaking to the New York Post about the internet’s reaction to her mugshot, Stewart expressed surprise at the viral sensation: “I think it’s hilarious. I don’t know what all the hype is about. I just took a mugshot and went on with my day.”
She explained that she had been on her way to a friend’s birthday party at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville when she was initially pulled over. “I had just gotten ready not long before, so that’s maybe why my makeup and hair still looked good,” she said.
The viral moment has led to a surge in Stewart’s social media following, with thousands of new fans flocking to her profiles. She humorously acknowledged her newfound internet fame, saying, “I look like a basic white girl, and I am.”
