A young man was brutally murdered by slitting his throat in Jawan, Aligarh, after helping a Muslim woman, reportedly angering some members of the local community. Police have arrested eight accused in connection with the crime.
According to reports, the incident occurred late last night when the woman was being brought home from a nursing home after falling ill in Tezpur. A neighbouring Muslim family reportedly took offence at the young man’s assistance.

Around 11:30 pm, he was allegedly abducted and taken to a dilapidated house nearby. There, the assailants slit his throat and stabbed him multiple times in the upper body, resulting in his death.
The deceased has been identified as Karan, who had arrived from Noida the previous night and worked as a labourer. At the woman’s request, he had rented a van and assisted her in travelling to Tezpur Nursing Home, where the crime occurred.

Police were informed at around midnight and reached the scene immediately. An inquest report was prepared, and the body was sent for post-mortem on the same night. Given the communal nature of the incident, additional police personnel were deployed from several stations to maintain law and order.
