Amrit Bharat Express: The routes and schedules for three of the newly launched Amrit Bharat Express trains, passing through Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction on the East Central Railway, were officially announced on Thursday evening. Two of the five trains, however, will follow alternate routes. Designed to offer a premium travel experience, the Amrit Bharat Express aims to transform regular train journeys into faster, more comfortable trips.
Indian Railways has delivered a significant gift to travellers in Uttar Pradesh and beyond by announcing the schedules for five new Amrit Bharat Express trains, set to begin operations in the New Year 2026. These trains are designed to revolutionise rail travel by combining speed with comfort, offering a more efficient travel option to millions across the country.
These trains will make travel smoother, more modern, and affordable. Following their inauguration, the trains will commence operations, significantly enhancing connectivity between West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and Maharashtra.
The Amrit Bharat Express has been designed with the needs of the common traveller in mind. It is a non-air-conditioned train employing push-pull technology to enhance both speed and acceleration. The train is equipped with comfortable seating, mobile charging points, modern toilets, and CCTV cameras for passenger safety.

- Howrah-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express
- Sealdah-Banaras Amrit Bharat Express
- Panvel-Alipurduar Amrit Bharat Express
- Dibrugarh-Gomtinagar Amrit Bharat Express
- Kamakhya-Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express
-> The Kamakhya-Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express will cover the journey from Kamakhya in Assam to Rohtak in Haryana. Its inauguration will take place on January 18, with the first service departing from Kamakhya.
