Farrukhabad Link Expressway Update News: The upcoming Farrukhabad Link Expressway is going give a big boost to the infrastructure of Uttar Pradesh. 92 km long Farrukhabad Expressway is a project by Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). Two major expressways, Ganga Expressway and Agra- Lucknow Expressway will be connected via this link expressway. This will improve connectivity and enhance the travel experience of commuters.
Farrukhabad Link Expressway Connectivity
It starts at Agra-Lucknow and Bundelkhand Expressway interchange in Etawah and ends at Ganga Expressway in Hardoi crossing Mainpuri and Farrukhabad. The stretch will enable inter-connectivity of four expressways which are: Agra-Lucknow, Bundelkhand, Ganga and Yamuna Expressway
Two major cities, Agra and Chitrakoot will also be connected through this link expressway. People planning to visit Agra will have options of different routes once it’s operational. Farrukhabad residents will have easier access to several cities due to this link expressway. Currently, Farrukhabad does not have direct connectivity to any expressway, which has had a negative impact on industries and businesses in the area.
The new Link Expressway will provide easy access to major highways and boost the local economy. This project will be a great help for villages situated along the Ganga River, which are often affected by floods. A drone survey has already been conducted to assess the project area.
About 35 villages will be directly affected by the project, as the expressway will pass near them. The proposed Link Expressway will pass through 35 villages in the district, including areas like Etawah, Kannauj, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad, Shahjahanpur, and Hardoi.
Apart from improving local connectivity, the new expressway is also expected to boost tourism. It will offer a direct route to the famous Neem Karoli Dham, a well-known religious site. Devotees of Baba Neem Karoli will benefit from the improved accessibility. Farmers in the region will also benefit from this new expressway, as it will make it easier for them to transport their products to other states. The expressway will also connect neighboring districts and even areas near the Nepal border to the Bundelkhand region. People traveling between different districts and states will find it easier to use this route
Not only the commuters of Uttar Pradesh, but Delhi residents will also benefit from the Farrukhabad Link Expressway, as reaching Agra will get easier.
