Ghaziabad: A distressing video from Ghaziabad has gone viral, showing a young child precariously sitting on the outer edge of a balcony grill in a high-rise building, several floors above the ground. The footage, which was reportedly recorded on January 17 at the Angel Jupiter Society, captures the child in a dangerously exposed position, with no adult in sight.

The video, filmed by a neighbour from a nearby tower in Indirapuram, has raised serious concerns about child safety and the level of parental supervision in high-rise apartment buildings.

In the clip, the child is seen sitting on a horizontal bar, with their legs dangling over the vast drop below. The child’s body leans outward, leaving the situation moments away from becoming a devastating accident.

Thankfully, the child was rescued unharmed by family members. The family later clarified that the child has autism, requiring constant vigilance, and the incident occurred due to a "momentary lapse in attention."

This unsettling incident has sparked widespread calls for stronger safety regulations on high-rise balconies, with many urging the mandatory installation of safety measures such as "invisible grills" or bird nets to protect young children.
