A case of rape has been reported in a colony within the Kotwali police station area, where a man is accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl under the false promise of marriage. When the girl protested, the accused allegedly insulted her with caste-based slurs.
According to the complaint, the accused had been sexually exploiting the minor for two years and also forced her to have an abortion. Based on a complaint from the girl's mother, the police have registered a case and initiated a search for the accused.
The girl’s mother stated that her 16-year-old daughter, a student, befriended a young man on Instagram two years ago. After chatting for some time, they began meeting in person. A few days later, the man called the girl to a hotel, where he allegedly raped her for the first time, assuring her that he would marry her.
On the pretext of marriage, the accused continued to sexually exploit the girl for the next two years, during which she became pregnant. The accused then forced her to undergo an abortion.
Recently, the man began distancing himself from the girl. When she learned that he was getting engaged to someone else, she confronted him about their marriage. The accused refused, verbally abused her, and used caste-based slurs before forcing her to leave.

Following the incident, the girl became withdrawn. When her family questioned her, she tearfully recounted the entire ordeal. Her angered family went to the Modinagar police station to file a complaint on her mother's behalf.
ACP Modinagar, Amit Saxena, stated that a case has been registered and a search for the accused is underway. The minor's medical examination has been completed, and her statement will soon be recorded before a magistrate.
