The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation will begin repairing rain-damaged roads in Sahibabad from this month, with 21 stretches in the Trans-Hindon area identified for restoration.

Officials said repair work will also cover dilapidated roads in Indirapuram, along with the Mohan Nagar and Vasundhara zones. The Mohan Nagar zone will see the maximum work, with potholes being filled on 10 major roads. Residents of Sahibabad had been demanding urgent repairs after repeated accidents caused by the poor condition of roads.

Chief Engineer of the Corporation’s construction department, NK Chaudhary, said tenders for patchwork repairs have already been issued. In Mohan Nagar, work will be carried out in Shalimar Garden, Rajendra Nagar, Karheda, Air Force Gol Chakkar, Janakpuri, Ramnagar, Vrindavan Garden, DLF, Shyam Park, and Shaheed Nagar.

Similarly, in the Vasundhara zone, roads in Vasundhara, Vaishali, Kaushambi, Bhowapur, Karkar Model Village, and Dabar Tiraha will be repaired. In Indirapuram, the works will cover Ahinsakhand, Abhaykhand, Gyankhand, Nitikhand, and Shaktikhand.
