Around 6:00 am, on Monday morning, a lift in the C-Block of Sanchar Residency, located in Raj Nagar Extension, suddenly plummeted from the 12th floor. One person was inside the elevator at the time of the accident.
According to the residents, the lift dropped from the 12th floor to the 8th floor with a violent jerk, accompanied by a loud noise. Hearing the crash, neighbors rushed to the spot. After considerable effort, they managed to pry open the doors and rescue the trapped individual.

The injured person was immediately rushed to the Combined Hospital (Sanyukt Aspatal), where he is currently receiving treatment. Residents claimed that this is not an isolated incident, noting that there have been previous cases of the lift getting stuck. Blaming the accident on negligence in maintenance, the residents have raised serious questions regarding the safety standards of the elevators.
