Four new dengue cases have been confirmed in Ghaziabad within the last 24 hours, three through a government laboratory and one from a private facility. With the latest additions, the total number of dengue cases this season has reached 271, while malaria cases stand at 86. Currently, four patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.

As part of ongoing surveillance efforts, health department teams inspected 210 houses on Saturday and detected dengue mosquito larvae in 104 of them. Notices have been issued to the violators.

District Surveillance Officer RK Gupta said that under the Communicable Disease Control Campaign, launched on October 11, more than two lakh households have been surveyed for fever, dengue, malaria, TB, and chikungunya. Most fever patients were tested for vector-borne diseases, and samples were collected for TB where required.

Authorities have decided to continue daily evening fogging for the next 15 days in dengue- and malaria-affected areas, along with intensified testing. Letters have been sent to the Municipal Corporation, Nagar Palika, Nagar Panchayat, and Gram Panchayat to support these measures. Testing responsibilities for dengue and malaria have been assigned to local CHCs, PHCs, and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.

Residents have been advised to take only paracetamol in case of fever and avoid other medications without medical guidance. Health officials have also urged people to sleep under mosquito nets, wear full sleeves, and step out only while wearing masks.

Intensive door-to-door surveillance, testing, and fogging will continue in the affected localities, including Bulandshahr Road Industrial Area, Dasna, Buddh Vihar, Loni, Modinagar, Muradnagar, Daulatpura, Raj Nagar, Indirapuram, Vasundhara, Vijay Nagar, Sahibabad, Brij Vihar, and several other colonies.
