Following instructions from DM Deepak Meena, a joint team from the mining, police, and revenue departments has taken major action against illegal mining and overloading in Gorakhpur. 

During the operation, which ran from Sunday evening until late at night, action was taken against a total of 17 vehicles in various areas. Seven of these vehicles were seized and handed over to the Ramgarh tal, Belipar, and Chauri Chaura police stations.

According to officials, these vehicles were either transporting minerals without valid documents or were caught for being overloaded. 

During patrols in the district, the team caught 10 vehicles involved in illegal transportation and overloading. A fine of Rs 5,50,000 was immediately collected from these vehicles via online payment.

The DM has stated clearly that illegal mining, illegal transportation, and overloading will not be tolerated in the district under any circumstances. The DM has instructed the enforcement teams to continuously increase surveillance and to maintain regular action.
