The Partapur Road will be completely closed for approximately three months starting this Wednesday to allow for the construction of a railway underpass. The closure will significantly impact traffic flow for the city and more than 12 connected villages.
Reason For Closure
Railway Section Engineer Vipin Tyagi confirmed that the route is being shut down to ensure the safe and efficient completion of the underpass's foundation and structural work. This initial three-month period is crucial for the most intensive phase of construction.
Traffic Impact And Alternatives
With Partapur Road closed, all traffic will be rerouted. It is expected that this will cause a significant increase in vehicle volume on GT Road, likely leading to traffic congestion and delays.
