I Love Muhammad Row: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday stated that disruptions to law and order will not be tolerated. While the chief minister did not take any names, his remarks appeared to be directed at chief of Ittehad-e-Millat Council Tauqueer Raza, whose appeal led to violence in Bareilly district. CM Yogi stated that the government will not allow any individual to halt the whole system in the name of protest. His remarks came a day after massive protests in several districts, including Bareilly, Mau, and Azamgarh.
"Yesterday, a Maulana forgot who is in power in the state," Adityanath stated. "He thought he could halt the system whenever he wanted, but we made it clear that there would be neither a roadblock nor a curfew. However, the lesson we have taught will make future generations think twice before rioting," he added. "What kind of way is this to halt the system? This was the trend in UP before 2017, but after 2017, we have not allowed even a curfew. The story of Uttar Pradesh's development begins here," he further stated.
