Train services on the Kanpur–Lucknow railway section will be significantly affected due to non-interlocking work at Jaitpur yard, scheduled from July 23 to August 2. The Railways have announced multiple cancellations, delays, and skipped stoppages, urging passengers to verify train schedules on official platforms before commencing their journey.
According to the Railway Public Relations Officer, the Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi–Lucknow Passenger and Lucknow–Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi Passenger trains will remain cancelled from July 29 to August 2. Additionally, these services will be delayed by up to 90 minutes during this period.

Several other trains will also run late due to the ongoing work:
-Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi–Lucknow Passenger: 75 minutes delay on July 23
-Jhansi–Lucknow Intercity: 30 minutes late on July 23; 90 minutes delay from July 29 to August 2
-Kanpur Central–Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh: Departing 30 minutes late (6:00 AM instead of 5:30 AM) on July 28
-Raptisagar Express: Delayed by 75 minutes (Central Railway), 75 minutes (West Central Railway), and 60 minutes (Jhansi Division) on July 27, 29, and 30
-New Delhi–Lucknow Swarn Shatabdi Express: 20-minute delay from Kanpur Central between July 29 and August 2
-Anand Vihar Terminal–Ayodhya Cantt Vande Bharat Express: Departing 50 minutes late at 7:00 AM instead of 6:10 AM from July 29 to August 2
Moreover, nine trains will skip Jaitpur station during this period.
These include:
-Lucknow–Kanpur Central MEMU (July 23 to August 2)
-Kanpur Central–Lucknow MEMU (July 31 to August 2)
-Uttaretia–Kanpur Central MEMU (July 23 to August 2)
-Lucknow–Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi Passenger (July 23 to July 28)
Passengers are advised to confirm real-time updates on train schedules via the official railway app or inquiry helpline before travel, to avoid inconvenience.
