Given the upcoming Kanwar Yatra, the Noida Roadways administration is set to revise bus routes due to expected traffic diversions, which will also result in fare hikes on five major routes. The revised fares will be applicable from the day diversions come into effect, as buses will need to cover additional distances via alternate routes.

According to Assistant Regional Manager (ARM) Rohitash Singh, the fare on the Noida–Meerut route will increase by Rs 8, rising from Rs 122 to Rs 130. Similarly, the fare on the Noida–Haridwar route will go up by Rs 21, increasing from Rs 379 to Rs 408.

Revised Fares on Affected Routes:

-Noida–Meerut: Rs 130 (up from Rs 122)

-Noida–Haridwar via Najibabad: Rs 455 (Rs 379 + Rs 76)

-Noida–Haridwar via Chandak: Rs 380

-Noida–Haridwar via Kila: Rs 406

The fare adjustments are based on the additional kilometres that buses will need to travel during the diversion period. The Noida–Meerut route, which sees an estimated 8,000 passengers daily, is expected to be most affected.

As part of preparations for the Kanwar Yatra, the Transport Corporation will operate 50 special buses from the Noida region. Of these, 40 buses will be in regular operation, while 10 buses will remain on standby to handle any surge in demand or emergency requirements.

The changes are part of the Transport Department’s wider strategy to ensure smooth travel for devotees while also maintaining regular connectivity during the Yatra period.
