A man from Myohar village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself after making a reel on Facebook. The 14-second video of the incident which shows the youth playing a song about unrequited love in the background also went viral on social media platforms.

The Facebook reel shows the young man playing a Hindi song, 'Teri Mohabbat Pa Leta Aise Meri Taqdeer Na Thi' in the background while attempting to hang himself. According to villagers, the boy was in love with a girl and was upset over failing to be with her.

Police reached the spot after getting information from people who saw the video online. They retrieved the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death. 

The family of the deceased has not filed any complaint so far but the police will act accordingly if they do. Manjhanpur DSP Abhishek Singh said the incident was unfortunate and further details will be revealed as the investigation progresses. No formal charges or statements from the family have been reported, he added.
