Traffic diversions will be implemented in the city from Friday in view of the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP Traffic) Kamlesh Dixit said on Thursday. The restrictions will remain in force until the conclusion of the Assembly session.

DCP Dixit said that restricted routes will be opened only in emergencies, for which prior information must be given to the traffic control room at 9454405155.

Restricted Routes

-General traffic from Bandariyabagh Chauraha towards Raj Bhavan, DSO Chauraha, Hazratganj Chauraha, GPO Mod, and Vidhan Sabha.

-Traffic from DSO Chauraha towards Hazratganj, GPO Park, and Vidhan Sabha Marg.

-Traffic from the Royal Hotel Chauraha towards Hazratganj Chauraha via the Vidhan Sabha.

-Roadways and city buses from the Mahanagar side will be restricted from proceeding towards Sikandarbagh, Hazratganj, and Vidhan Sabha from the Sankalp Vatika bridge tiraha.

-Buses from the Charbagh side will be restricted from moving towards Hussainganj, Royal Hotel Chauraha, and Vidhan Sabha from KKC Tiraha.

-Buses from Gomti Nagar will be restricted from heading towards Sikandarbagh, Hazratganj, and Vidhan Sabha.

-General traffic from Sikandarbagh Chauraha towards Hazratganj/Vidhan Sabha.

-Traffic from Parivartan Chowk and Hindi Sansthan Tiraha towards the Vidhan Sabha via Hazratganj.

-Traffic from DSO Chauraha towards Sisendi Tiraha and Royal Hotel Chauraha.

Alternative Routes Suggested

-Via Lalbatti Chauraha, Cantt or Golf Club Chauraha, and 1090 Chauraha.

-Via Park Road and Mayfair Tiraha.

-Via Kaiserbagh Chauraha, Parivartan Chowk, Subhash Chauraha, Chiraiyajheel, or Burlington Chauraha-Sadar Overbridge-Cantt.

-Via Baikunth Dham, 1090 (Gandhi Setu) Chauraha, Bandariyabagh, Lalbatti, and Cantt.

-From Loco Chauraha via Cantt, or Burlington Chauraha via Kaiserbagh.

-From Sikandarbagh via YMCA Chauraha, Balu Adda, 1090 Chauraha, or Chiraiyajheel.

-From Hazratganj, Mayfair Tiraha, or Royal Hotel Chauraha via Burlington Chauraha and Cantt.

The traffic police have appealed to commuters to plan their travel, follow diversion signs, and cooperate with on-duty personnel to avoid inconvenience.
