Travel from Lucknow to Bareilly via Hardoi is all set to become smoother and faster, as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) nears the completion of the four-laning project on the Lucknow–Hardoi stretch of National Highway 731. The highway is already four-laned from Hardoi to Shahjahanpur, but the section between Lucknow and Hardoi lacked this facility—until now.

According to officials, the remaining work is in its final stages and is expected to be completed by mid-August. Once operational, the route will significantly reduce travel time and improve the movement of heavy vehicles across central and western Uttar Pradesh.
