Maha Kumbh 2025: During the Maha Kumbh, parking at Prayagraj airport may be extremely difficult for all flights, including chartered planes. Parking at Prayagraj Airport will not be available to everyone. They must be transported to airports 150–500 kilometers away to park chartered aircraft.

Arriving passengers in chartered aircraft will land at Prayagraj airport, but the aircraft will be transported to another airport for parking right away. The tourists will be picked up by their airline when they arrive at Prayagraj airport after witnessing the Maha Kumbh site. The Maha Kumbh will follow this procedure, which will be obligatory throughout the bathing celebrations.

Prayagraj will host the Maha Kumbh beginning on January 13. Here, devotees will travel from all over the world. In accordance with protocol, around 200 chartered planes or special flights belonging to VVIPs and oversea visitors will land. However, there is not enough room at Prayagraj airport for many flights to land. Only 15 large planes may park here as of now.

Parking strips are being developed. However, the number of flights operated by aviation companies would also rise during Kumbh. In addition to routine flights, parking special aircraft will become an issue. Airports near Prayagraj will be prepared to accommodate flight parking in such a scenario.

The Airport Authority of India has requested parking reports from 11 airports across four states for Maha Kumbh. The primary list now includes eleven airports that are 500–600 kilometres from Prayagraj. Planes will currently only be parked at these airports; if necessary, the scope will be extended.
