Barsana Holi 2024: As the festival of colours is approaching, tourists and locals are waiting for the famous Lathmar Holi in Mathura's Barsana, which will begin on March 17, that is, tomorrow. The district administration has made all the possible arrangements to welcome swarms of people to the vibrant fair.

To ensure hassle-free movement, entry of vehicles to Barsana will be closed from 8 PM on Saturday. Atleast 45 parking lots have been made on various routes. Visitors will have to reach the town by walking 5 km from the parking place.

Also, any vehicles coming towards Govardhan, Chhata and Nandgaon won't be allowed to enter Barsana.

Route Diversions

Concerning the Barsana Holi Fair, a route diversion has also been implemented. Vehicles traveling from the Govardhan side to Kosikalan will pass through Neemgaon Tiraha to reach the National Highway.

Similarly, vehicles traveling from Kosikalan to Govardhan will be transported to Govardhan via Chhata. Vehicles traveling from Kama to Govardhan will go through Kosikalan and Chhata.

All vehicles coming from Kamai Karhala will be stopped at Karhala's turn. Big vehicles coming from the Chhata side will be stopped at Srinagar's turn. Small vehicles will be stopped near petrol pumps.

Big vehicles coming from Nandgaon will be stopped near Sanket village. Whereas small vehicles will be stopped near Ghazipur village. Vehicles coming from the Kama side will be stopped near Radha Bagh. Vehicles coming from Dabhala village will be stopped at Chiksoli's turn.

Inspector in-charge Arvind Kumar Nirwal stated that 19 parking spaces have been created on Govardhan Barsana Road, six on Chhata-Barsana Road, and five on Nandgaon-Barsana Road.

Similarly, five parking spaces have been established on Kama Road, three on Karhala-Barsana Road, and four on Dabhala-Chiksoli Road. Parking has been reserved for three VIP vehicles in town. To control the crowd, 78 barriers have been installed throughout the festival grounds.
