The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has officially announced the expansion of the Aqua Line with a new 2.6 km elevated track from the Greater Noida depot to Bodaki railway station. The project, which is part of the Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH) in Bodaki, will be completed within three years at an estimated cost of Rs 416.34 crore. Work on the project is expected to begin after completion of the tender process in six months.

Under this extension, two new stations — Junpat and Bodaki — will be constructed. The new corridor is expected to benefit around 60,000 people, improving access to other cities in the National Capital Region (NCR). The line will use a standard gauge of 1435 mm.
