A video has surfaced online showing an alleged brawl between staff and an individual at the ESIC hospital in Noida's Sector 24. Police have launched an investigation after the 12-second clip went viral on social media.
The video appears to show four to five hospital employees, including a security guard and another person wearing an ID card, assaulting a young person in a green t-shirt inside the hospital. Others can be seen trying to intervene and protect the individual being beaten. While unconfirmed, it is rumored that the victim was a patient and that an attendant stepped in to help.
The Sector 24 police have taken note of the incident. Station House Officer (SHO) Vidyut Goyal stated that both the police and the hospital management are investigating the matter, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
The ESIC hospital management confirmed that an incident of a brawl occurred in the emergency ward at around 8:45 pm on Thursday. Dr Brahmish Sitara, representing the hospital, assured that the matter is being investigated internally and that appropriate action will be taken against anyone found guilty.
