Maha Kumbh Train Cancellations: The Railway authorities are continuing the process of cancelling long-distance trains and clearing tracks for special services in light of the Maha Kumbh, Mauni Amavasya, and Vasant Panchami festivals. On Wednesday, Railways released an updated list, adding 29 more cancellations to the previous 29, bringing the total to 58 trains cancelled so far.
While passengers with reservations on these cancelled trains will face added inconvenience, the Railways aims to ease the situation by operating an increased number of special trains to facilitate travel to and from Prayagraj. Since Prayagraj Junction is on the Delhi-Howrah route, most of the cancelled trains are from this sector, though further cancellations remain a possibility in the coming days.
