UP Road Accident: In a road accident between two buses on Lucknow-Delhi Highway, atleast three persons were killed, including the driver, and 49 others were injured. The incident took place this morning, July 22. The traffic on the highway was one-way due to Kanwar Yatra. Two buses hit each other near Bhairav Baba shrine in Rampur's Milak.
A Janrath bus from the Sahibabad depot travelling from Lucknow to Delhi collided with a private bus travelling from Haridwar to Shravasti around 4 AM. The front sections of both buses were completely smashed. Following the collision, the victims began shouting and weeping. After the information was received, an ambulance was called and the injured from both buses were sent to the city's government hospital.
Seeing the large number of injuries, hospital workers and doctors were left helpless. The injured were lying on the hospital floor, moaning in distress.

Eighteen seriously wounded passengers were sent to the local hospital. 13 passengers have been admitted to the Milak hospital and are receiving treatment.
Other passengers left after receiving the first assistance. District Magistrate Jogendra Singh and Superintendent of Police Vidyasagar Mishra also arrived at the scene as soon as they learned about the accident.
According to the District Magistrate, the driver of the private bus is also among the deceased. The District Magistrate visited the hospital and inquired about the injured's health. He directed that the injured be properly treated and that vehicles be arranged to transport the people home.
