Meerut Murders: Muskan Rastogi, the main culprit in her husband's murder, has forged an unexpected alliance with another condemned woman, Sangeeta, within the Chaudhary Charan Singh Jail in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Both women, convicted of murdering their husbands, have formed connections based on comparable experiences and seemingly similar objectives that drove them to take drastic measures.
Muskan, who has been jailed for almost a month, was detained in relation to the heinous murder of her husband, Saurabh, who worked in the Merchant Navy. Similar to this, Sangeeta, who is from the Thana Jani neighbourhood of Meerut, was arrested for her role in the murder of her husband, Ajay (also called Bittu). In addition to sharing a jail cell, the two women had a troubling similarity in their pasts: they both plotted the murders of their husbands and attempted to break out of their marriages by pursuing connections with their lovers.
The incident involving Sangeeta occurred earlier this year when her husband, Ajay, who lives in Dehradun, traveled to Meerut to attend a wedding. Sangeeta tricked Ajay into consuming alcohol when she was with her lover, Avnish. Avnish quickly used a hand pump to bludgeone him before killing him by strangulation. The inquiry that followed the discovery of Ajay's body revealed the horrifying specifics of his wife's scheme. After ultimately confessing to the murder, Sangeeta and Avnish were taken into custody in February of this year.

Coming to Muskan's arrest in Saurabh murder case, it drew widespread media attention for its appalling violence. Muskan and her partner, Sahil, were accused with conspiracy to murder Saurabh. Muskan's life in prison took an unexpected turn when she was sent to the same barrack as Sangeeta, resulting in the two women becoming a strong friends.
Muskan and Sangeeta, both pregnant, are given special accommodations because of their condition, according to the jail administration. The facility does not need either of them to do any work.
Although the two ladies are kept together in the women's barrack, their lovers, who are also arrested for separate offenses, are in a different area of the prison.
