UP News:  Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s chartered plane encountered a technical fault shortly after departing from Kheria Airport. The pilot detected the issue nine minutes into the flight and immediately notified air traffic control. The plane returned and made an emergency landing at Kheria Airport.

State authorities were alarmed by the sudden development and hurried to the spot.

The Chief Minister then spent two hours in the VIP lounge before departing for Lucknow at 5:40 PM, following the arrival of a replacement plane from Delhi. Senior officials, including the Commissioner of Police (CP) and District Magistrate (DM), were also present to oversee the situation.

CM Yogi boarded the replacement aircraft for Lucknow following extensive safety inspections.

The incident occurred two days after Adityanath's BJP administration completed its eighth year in office in Uttar Pradesh.

A scheduled event to commemorate eight years of governance at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow had to be canceled due to the delay. In order to attend the function, CM Yogi was first traveling from Agra to Lucknow.

Earlier today, Adityanath spoke at an event commemorating the BJP's eight-year rule in Uttar Pradesh, accusing the opposition of serving as "barriers" to the state's growth.

He claimed that the situation was particularly severe for the youth, farmers, and the general population. "The youth was facing an identity crisis, farmers used to die by suicide and the poor used to die of hunger," he added.

Highlighting the progress made under his government, the Chief Minister said, "This is the same state where the youth did not get jobs and when they went out of the state, they faced an identity crisis," he said.
