As many as five doctors were killed after a speeding car collided with a divider on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Kannauj. The doctors were stationed at Mini PGI Saifai. Officials have arrived at the scene and the bodies are being removed from the car.
It is reported that all the doctors had gone to Lucknow to attend a wedding ceremony. On Tuesday night, they were returning to Saifai by car. In Kannauj, on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, they met with the accident. All five doctors died on the spot.

The doctors who died were identified as– Dr Anirudh Verma, Dr Santosh Kumar Maurya, Dr Jayveer Singh, Dr Arun Kumar, and Dr Nardev. All of them were pursuing their PG. There are also reports of some others being injured.
Meanwhile, upon receiving the information about the accident, the police also arrived at the scene. The university was informed and the families of the deceased doctors have been notified. As soon as the information was received, senior police officers also reached the spot. The fog is being cited as the cause of the accident on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. Notably, with the onset of winter, accidents are happening daily in several districts of Uttar Pradesh due to fog.

In Muzaffarnagar, two people died when a truck fell from a bridge over the Hindon River. Two truck passengers are safe, while two others lost their lives in the incident. The police, along with local people, arrived at the scene and carried out the rescue operation. This accident took place near the Hindon River in the Budhana Kotwali area of Muzaffarnagar.
