In another case of negligence and unhygiene at eateries, two men found a dead rat in their Paneer dish at a roadside eatery in UP’s Budaun on Monday. A video of the incident has gone viral, showing two men thinking they are removing a bay leaf from the plate, which was discovered to be a dead rat.
Two people who had gone to have their meal at Dhaba in Bilsi met with a shocking incident as they found a dead rat in their food. Nishant and his friend Puneet have not filed a complaint yet.
A video capturing the moment Nishant removed a bay leaf with a spoon to reveal the rodent inside has gone viral online. Upon finding the dead rat, Nishant immediately complained to the dhaba operator, stating his intention to file a police report.
In the video, the customer and the employee are seen arguing with each other. After the video went viral, people are raising questions about the cleanliness and food safety of dhabas. Meanwhile, regarding the viral video on social media, Budaun police said that this case is related to the food department.

Bilsi's Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Prem Pal Singh, confirmed that he had seen the video but noted that no formal complaint had been filed yet. Authorities are now investigating the incident and plan to inspect food items at other local eateries to ensure adherence to food safety standards.
