Moradabad News: A man in UP's Moradabad allegedly duped a man of Rs 5 lakh by falsely promising to secure a job for his son at a car manufacturing company. The accused, who claimed to be an employee of the company, even provided a fake ID card and appointment letter for the victim's son.
According to the complaint filed by Meghraj Singh, a resident of Khadana village in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district, he was introduced to Haji Mohammad Nazar, who posed as a deputy manager at Maruti Suzuki Limited, Gurugram, through an acquaintance named Haji Mujibar Rehman in May of last year.
Mohammad Nazar assured Meghraj Singh that his son, Chander Vijay Singh, would be hired as a deputy manager at the company with a monthly salary of Rs 45,000. However, after providing Rs 3.5 lakh in cash and transferring the rest to Mohammad Nazar's bank account, it became apparent that the promises were false.
The appointment letter and ID card sent to them were found to be fake when they visited the company on July 1. In response to these actions, Meghraj Singh filed a complaint with the police, alleging that Mohammad Nazar had defrauded many others in the same manner.
An FIR has been registered against Mohammad Nazar under sections 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC at Sector 18 police station. The police are actively investigating the case, and Mohammad Nazar is expected to be apprehended soon, according to ASI Krishan Kumar, the investigating officer.
