UP Police SI Recruitment: Board Releases Exam Schedule; Applications Cross 16 Lakh

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced the examination dates for direct recruitment to 4,543 posts of Sub-Inspector (Daroga) and equivalent ranks. The written examination will be conducted on March 14 and 15 next year.

Online applications for the recruitment were accepted until September 11, and nearly 16.5 lakh candidates have applied. Applicants can check exam-related information on the official website of the board.

The recruitment drive includes:

-4,242 posts of Sub-Inspector Civil Police

-135 posts of Platoon Commander (PAC)

-60 posts of Platoon Commander (Special Security Force)

-106 posts of female Platoon Commanders in PAC women’s battalions in Lucknow, Badaun and Gorakhpur

In another notification, the UPPRPB has also invited applications for 44 posts of Assistant Operator in the Radio Cadre. Online applications for these positions will be accepted from December 3 to January 2, while January 5, 2026, has been set as the last date for fee adjustment. Candidates must complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) before submitting their applications.
