With the increasing cold in the district, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has begun the process of installing all-weather bulbs in all buses in the Noida region to ensure passenger safety and strengthen the transport system. With the increasing cold across the state, a blanket of fog in the mornings and evenings is reducing visibility on the roads, which could affect bus operations.
Officials stated that all-weather bulbs are being installed in the district's 305 corporation buses this year. These bulbs will not only assist during periods of reduced visibility in the winter but will also be helpful during the summer months.

According to officials, until now, fog lights had to be fitted to the buses every year during the winter season for Rs 2,00,000, which involved both higher maintenance costs and more time. All-weather bulbs are specifically designed to maintain better visibility on the road in conditions of fog, rain, and low light.
With the all-weather bulbs introduced this year, the future expenditure is set to witness a significant reduction.
To tackle the challenge of visibility during the winter, officials are continuously providing training to drivers. All have been instructed to operate the buses only at the prescribed, lower speed.
