The weather department has forecasted thunderstorms and lightning in 36 districts of eastern and western Uttar Pradesh on Monday. Gusty winds are also likely to blow in several districts. In Lucknow, a significant change is unlikely and the effect of sunshine will remain along with the clouds.
Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, cited by Jagran.com, said that thundershowers may occur in UP’s Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bagpat, Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun and surrounding areas in the next 24 hours.
Besides, a warning for gusty winds has been sounded in Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bagpat, Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun and surrounding districts.
The speed of the winds can be 30 to 40 kmph.
On Sunday, the maximum temperatures in the state were 41 degrees Celsius in Banda and 40.8 degrees Celsius in Orai. The minimum temperature in the state was 20 degrees Celsius in Etawah.
The maximum temperature in Lucknow was 37.9 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 27.5 degrees Celsius.
