The UP Government has simplified the electricity bill payment process through mobile apps. Now, consumers only need to select UPPCL and their district name instead of choosing their Discom to pay their bills. Previously, consumers had to provide details about their electricity distribution company, which often led to errors in payment.
To pay bills via mobile apps like BHIM, Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and Amazon Pay, consumers will now simply select UPPCL, enter their district name, and provide their account number.

This update by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) aims to streamline the process and minimise payment errors. This facility was already available on the UPPCL website but has now been extended to mobile payment platforms.
Currently, both the old and new systems are in place to allow consumers to adapt to the change. However, from next month, only the new system will be applicable, ensuring a more convenient and error-free payment experience for users.
