Muzaffarnagar: In a disturbing incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, a 20-year-old woman named Farheen had her hijab forcibly removed, while the Hindu man accompanying her, Sachin, was brutally beaten by a group of men. The entire assault was caught on camera and has since gone viral on social media, sparking outrage and prompting swift police action.

The incident took place on Saturday in the Khalapar area. Both Farheen and Sachin work with Utkarsh Small Finance Bank and were returning from a field visit to collect a loan instalment when the attack happened.

According to the police, the two were stopped by around ten individuals in a narrow lane known as Darzi Wali Gali. The mob allegedly hurled abuses, assaulted them, and removed Farheen’s hijab in public.

What Happened?

According to reports, the accused individuals stopped a woman wearing a burqa and her colleague, asking them to reveal their names. The six men have been identified as Sartaj, Shadab, Umar, Arsh, Shoaib and Shami.
