Yamuna Expressway Toll Hike:  Travelling on the Yamuna Expressway will now be more costly. It has been agreed to increase toll charges beginning October 1. It has gone up by an average of 4 percent. It is to be noted that the toll rates will be increased after 2021-22.

The authority asserts that the rates suggested by Jaypee Infratech for toll hikes in 2022–23 will be enforced in 2024–25. This will not be a significant load on individuals going on the highway. The proposal to increase toll charges was adopted by the Authority Board during its 82nd meeting on Thursday.

  • Two Wheelers: Rs 1.50
  • Jeep, Car: Rs 2.95
  • Light Commercial Vehicles: Rs 4.60
  • Bus Truck: Rs 9.35
  • Heavy Construction Vehicles: Rs 13.25
  • Over-size Vehicles: Rs 18.35

Every day, around 35,000 vehicles pass across the Yamuna Expressway. On weekends, the number of cars exceeds 50,000 per day. The expressway is managed by Jaypee Infratech Company. It suggested increasing toll charges to the authority, which was agreed.

Current Toll Rates

The current toll cost on the Yamuna Expressway is Rs 3.25 per kilometre for light vehicles such as motorbikes. For buses, trucks, and large vehicles, the toll is Rs 8.45 per kilometre. The toll rate for cars, jeeps, vans, and other light vehicles is Rs 2.65 per kilometre.
