Noida will soon get direct air connectivity with Dehradun, with IndiGo Airlines set to launch a new flight service from March 29. The move is expected to significantly benefit air passengers travelling between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Preparations for the new route are already underway. At present, Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport is connected to major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar and Hyderabad, enabling faster travel for passengers heading to the hill state. The addition of Noida to the network will provide travellers with another convenient option.

Dehradun Airport Director Bhupesh CH Negi confirmed that IndiGo will begin operations on the Noida-Dehradun route from March 29. He said the new service is expected to benefit hundreds of passengers and boost footfall at the airport.

Officials believe the improved air connectivity will also lead to an increase in tourist arrivals, particularly during the Char Dham Yatra season, and give a push to Uttarakhand’s tourism sector.
