A bus carrying a group of students from Tamil Nadu caught fire on the Shimla Bypass Road on Thursday. Fortunately, all students were evacuated immediately and are reported to be safe.

Details Of The Incident

The incident occurred near St Jude's Chowk when smoke began to emerge from the vehicle. Acting swiftly, the students were disembarked to safety before the fire could spread. Police and fire brigade teams responded promptly to the emergency. A fire tender arrived at the scene and successfully brought the fire under control.

Tour Itinerary

According to the police, the students had arrived in Haridwar for a tour of Uttarakhand. On Thursday, they were travelling from Haridwar to the Forest Research Institute (FRI). Following this visit, the group was scheduled to depart for Manali.
