Uttarakhand continues to experience dry weather, but falling night temperatures are increasing the chill during mornings and evenings. The mountainous regions are witnessing severe cold, with temperatures in high-altitude areas dropping below five degrees Celsius. Bright sunshine during the day is providing some relief, but the Meteorological Department warns that similar weather is likely to persist over the next few days.
Frost in the mountains could make conditions more challenging, particularly for drivers on hilly roads at night. In Dehradun, while the sun shone brightly on Friday morning, the rapid fall in temperatures during early mornings and evenings has intensified the cold.

The maximum temperature in Doon is currently about three times the minimum, with daytime temperatures two degrees above normal and nighttime lows two degrees below normal. These fluctuations have increased the risk of illness, especially among children and the elderly.
The Meteorological Centre has predicted that most parts of the state, including Dehradun, will remain dry today, with temperatures around the normal range. Frost may occur in mountain regions at night, while light fog is expected in some areas of the plains.
