A young man was stabbed to death in Ambedkar Colony on DL Road, allegedly by two brothers following a dispute. The murder is believed to be the result of a long-standing feud that escalated after a minor altercation. Police have taken both brothers into custody and have begun questioning.
The deceased has been identified as Shubham, a resident of Ambedkar Colony who worked at a restaurant on Rajpur Road.
Sequence Of Events
The conflict reportedly came to a head on Friday night. Shubham and the two accused brothers, Nikhil and Aman, who are his neighbors, had all attended a party related to the student union elections. After the event, their motorbikes slightly collided, leading to an initial argument.
Though all three returned to their homes, they argued again over the phone a short time later. Following the call, Shubham went out onto the street with his friends. The confrontation quickly escalated, and Nikhil and Aman allegedly stabbed Shubham multiple times in the stomach with a knife, causing him to die at the scene.
Police Action
Upon receiving the information, Inspector-in-charge Manoj Mainwal from the Dalan wala Kotwali police station arrived with a team. Shubham's body was sent to Coronation Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Based on a complaint from the victim's family, a case has been registered against the two brothers.
