Viral Video: Amid the kind of ‘extreme weather’ that has been taking over the Earth from the past few years, it has only become natural for everything to either completely freeze up in the winter or melt down in the summer. With every passing year, people are discovering some or the other kind of scary phenomena that no one knew could ever exist, and the credit, unfortunately, completely goes to global warming. Recently, a video became the prime example of the same theory after a few alligators were seen trying to survive in the extreme cold in one of the most terrifying ways one can imagine.
The said video showed the reptile resting in a ‘frozen’ swamp. What further stole everyone's attention was that the animals made a little crack on the upper sheet of ice in the said swamp, so that they can breathe from inside the water. Although the alligators were reportedly alive, the sight still looked scary and left people a little shaken.
The video was shared on the social media platform Facebook, by the handle ‘The Swamp Park’. The post was captioned, “2024 Alligators in ice!! Open weekends, come see us!”

The video went viral in no time as people began to react to it. Most people enquired about the reptiles getting ‘hypothermia’, while the rest expressed their concern over the ‘cold’ the animal must be feeling. The video was shared three days ago and pulled 2.3K reactions from people.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “this is what we were talking about the other day. I wish I could find the video from several years ago when it was solid ice. Still looking,” a user said. “How many days can they suspend before hypothermia sets in???” said a second person. “Sooooo... If you disturb the gator, will he react or is he dormant?” said a third person. “How far are you from Myrtle Beach? I'd like to visit when I'm on vacation,” said a fourth person.
“Just to have the instincts to know that is AMAZING,” commented a fifth person. “Did the ice melt and them come alive? Would love to see footage if they did,” added a sixth.
