They questioned why drying clothes outside was being linked to India, pointing out that it is a common practice worldwide. Some felt the comparison was unnecessary, while others argued that air-drying laundry is an eco-friendly habit followed in many countries, including the USA. The debate quickly grew, turning a simple video into a topic of discussion on cultural perceptions and daily life habits.

The viral video was posted on Anas' official Instagram account, md24_anas. Shared five days ago, it quickly gained traction, amassing 5 million views. Social media users flooded the comment section with reactions, sparking a heated debate over the content.
One user questioned, "Sorry, is it illegal to dry your clothes or something?" Another added, "Everybody does this, how is this an Indian thing?" A third user remarked, "I’m shocked Americans aren’t totally into drying clothes outdoors. Pretty common in all the eras you claim you want to return to."
Others defended the practice, with one commenting, "This is the best way to dry clothes if possible. Smells so fresh and clean." Another user criticised the post, saying, "This is embarrassing… drying clothes in the sun has so many more benefits than using a dryer." "This is their backyard, they can do whatever they want in it, it's none of your business," added another user.
