Bengaluru Viral Video: What started as a routine bus ride on Tumakuru Road soon turned into a dramatic scene near Peenya on Wednesday. A woman passenger and a BMTC bus driver got into a heated fight that quickly escalated, ending with both of them slapping each other in front of stunned onlookers. A video recorded by a bystander shows the woman climbing up the ramp behind the driver’s seat, angrily arguing before raising her hand at him. The driver didn’t hold back either; he responded with a slap of his own. The exact reason behind the fight is still unclear and under investigation.
After the video went viral on social media, Bengaluru City Police responded to the clip, stating, “We have forwarded your complaint to concerned police officers for necessary action."

The video shared on X (Formerly Twitter) by the handle '@karnatakaportf' just a day ago pulled many reactions from social media users. "The woman started an assault, and the Driver defended it clearly. The Woman realised it wouldn't be easy, and she reacted further," a user wrote. "It is the passenger who actually started manhandling. She should be arrested," a second user wrote.
"The passenger started hitting the driver first; she should be arrested," wrote a third user. "Well done, driver uncle. She needs to be taught a lesson. Whatever the matter, she should not have raised her hand at you," added a fourth user.
"Such an uncultured woman should be punished and put behind bars so that she does not create a public nuisance," another user added. "These are daily issues .. quite usual in BMTC," added another user.
With clashes surfacing in such a short span, questions are now being raised about the growing tension between bus staff and passengers. One thing is clear: better communication and mutual respect are urgently needed before these everyday journeys turn into battlegrounds.
