Delhi Viral Video: Social media has witnessed far too many chain-snatching-related incidents happening in the country in the last few months. Adding another to the list, a similar matter came forward from a colony in Delhi. The incident was also captured on the CCTV camera installed nearby, the footage of which later went viral. In the video, two bike-ridden men were seen casually conversing with a man who stopped his scooter to guide the said men. However, as soon as the man driving the bike was done reversing it, another man talking to the victim took away his scooter key. The accused then began to take away the victim’s gold chain, and very calmly drove away with the snatched chain.
The incident reportedly took place on October 22. The Delhi video began to float on social media soon after it was shared on the internet. Most people called the incident concerning and pointed out the increasing number of such incidents, while the rest found the matter scary and shocking.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘ex_secular22’. The post was captioned, “Chain Snatched this morning 22 Oct at 7:20 am at Gunpoint in front of B74 Park Vivek Vihar* This is a shocking incident that happened inside the colony. Now no one is secure even inside the colony.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled many views from people.
