Pune Viral Video: The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about a night ride- is ‘no traffic’ or a gentle breeze. However, the same night rides and night journeys have lately turned into a ‘horror movie plot’, as repeated attacks on commuters have come forward on social media. Adding to the list, another incident took place in Maharashtra, where a Pune man claimed that he was attacked by ‘40 goons’ who used iron rods, stones and sticks to damage the man’s car. A car dash cam video showing the man’s car getting attacked was also shared online, which went viral almost instantly. As per the man, his family was also inside the car at the time of the attack, which left him further concerned about their safety. The incident took place on September 29 at around 2 AM.

The man further claimed that the local police ‘was not ready’ to register his FIR and made the poor couple wait for more than 3 hours at the police station with no ‘lady office’.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘ravi_karnani’. The post was captioned, “We were attacked!!! There were a total of 40 people in different pockets with Iron Rods, Stones and Sticks who were attacking our car, with 2 bikes and a car filled with Local goons chasing us at a speed of 80 km!!! The local Police took their side stating they were patrolling.”

“We are common people where we haven't even got proper support from our own local law enforcement - Police, who were not even ready to take our FIR, made me and my wife wait from 6:15PM till 9:20PM with no lady office in the station,” the internet user further added.

The Pune video, after getting shared, received countless reactions from netizens. Most people were left furious over the alleged lack of actions by the police, while the rest demanded stricter rules and punishment for such goons.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Plz share the road map where u travelled and ur contact details need to understand more about this issue as many would have faced this,” a user said. “Your complaint has not yet been replied to by the police/concerned authority on SM? Either the police must know the culprits, or they can easily trace them. Unless political influence is used they won't do anything, as past incidents show,” added another.

“This is so disturbing, as a person with a 4-wheeler who travels with family this is a nightmare. Sorry this happened with you, glad you guys were physically safe,” added a third person. “Such a horrible situation. How can the police sit idle? What if this happens to their own family? Were they involved as well? It's a disgrace for a beautiful Pune city,” added another.
