Viral Video: In yet another incident that raised questions over the increasing violence over anything and everything in the country, three goons ended up thrashing the bank manager and the assistant manager at a bank in Chandigarh’s Takhatpur. As per the reports, the incident unfolded at the SBI bank yesterday, July 22. The incident was also caught on the CCTV camera installed in the bank, the footage of which was shared online. The goons were reportedly drunk at the time. Rushing into action after the assault, the victim reportedly filed an FIR.

The police were quick to jump into action after the case was registered, leading to the reported arrest of the three goons involved in the matter.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘ramshankarsingh’. The post was captioned, “Some goons barged into the bank and attacked the manager and assistant manager. The other bank employees remained spectators, deprived of #BankersProtectionAct . This incident is from @TheOfficialSBI of Takhatpur police station area of Chhattisgarh.”

The video was shared yesterday and pulled 18K views from people. Most people demanded action against the goons involved, while the rest raised questions about the increasing number of violent cases in the country. Some also expressed sympathies towards the victims.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Goons barged into the bank and attacked the manager and assistant manager inside the SBI branch located in the Takhatpur police station area of Chhattisgarh. What is even going on? SBI comes under the government, yet people had the audacity to do something like this,” a user said.

“Is this what we get in return for strengthening our economy??” a second person said. “Good news is all three have been arrested. All of them were under the influence of alcohol too! Kudos to the Branch Manager for filing a strong case against the culprits,” commented a third netizen. “Good to know that the culprits were arrested by the police,” added another.
