Viral Video: A recent Instagram video released by Kolkata-based model Sannati Mitra went viral, causing great indignation online. Mitra can be seen dancing in a white towel near Delhi's iconic India Gate, recreating a famous performance from the Bollywood blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
The video, which was shared in honour of International Men's Day, quickly racked up over 2 lakh views in hours, but not without attracting harsh condemnation from the public.
In her caption, she wrote, "Happy International Men’s Day. May you all continue to inspire and motivate others with your courage, kindness, and empathy."

Viewers voiced dissatisfaction with the obviously improper venue for such a performance, especially in a public space cherished for its historical value.
The video shows Mitra twirling in a towel in front of a genuinely surprised crowd, including youngsters. At one point, she partially removes the towel, exacerbating the controversy.
Many social media users condemned the act, describing it as an open attempt to achieve recognition through "cheap tactics" and "obscenity."
While the video has generated widespread attention, Mitra has already encountered controversy. Previously, she sparked a similar dispute by uploading a photo from a Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata.
Mitra posed with two other women in outfits that many felt inappropriate for a holy setting—Mitra wore a thigh-high slit black gown, and her friends wore similarly revealing apparel.
