Chennai Rains: As monsoon 2024 completely left major cities like Bangalore, Gurugram, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai in chaos with the incessant rain that partially submerged the cities under floodwater, it seems like it's Chennai next on the radar as the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) issued a red alert for NT’s capital, along with a few neighbouring areas. The TN government even resorted to closing schools and colleges, as a step to keep students safe amid heavy rain. While people did what they could to prepare for heavy rains, one particular measure went viral on social media.
A video was shared on the internet, which showed some cars parked on a bridge. The cars were parked at a higher ground to keep them from drowning in the floodwater. As soon as the video was shared online, it went viral.
The video, after getting shared, pulled all kinds of reactions. Most people found the idea impressive, while the rest called it a hassle for other commuters. A few also shared jokes on the same.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘mani17081996’. The post was captioned, “Already started to park the car on velachery bridge?? #chennairain #Chennai @praddy06 @chennaiweather @ChennaiRains.” The post was
