Viral Video: In the past few years, the very definition of pranks has changed drastically from how it used to be a couple of years ago. The term has come closer to ‘assault’ as there have been multiple instances where people ‘harassed’ or completely bothered others in the name of pranks. Joining the list, two drunk girls in Mumbai did something similar after they kept the residents of their building up all night with their prank. Moreover, the fact that the same prank was done at 2 PM, turned the entire thing into a nightmare for many.

The said two girls went from door to door and knocked on the doors and rang the bells at night in a drunken state. The entire incident was recorded in the building’s CCTV camera, the footage of which was later shared online. The post went viral as the man sharing the clip asked for a way to punish the two. However, most netizens chastised the man for not giving a warning to the women and rather looking for ‘legal action’.

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘shreshtpoddar’. The post was captioned, “2.30 am last night. 2 young, educated girls entered & recorded themselves trying to lock the doors & ring the bells of houses multiple times, in my building, which has mostly 55+ & senior residents, & a history of previous incidents. They knew CCTVs were present. (Contd.).”

The video, soon after getting shared, went viral on social media, as people began to react to it. Most people went against the man sharing the videos and called it a ‘minor issue’, which could have been solved by a simple ‘warning’, while the rest suggested warning them, rather than looking for a way to punish them. Many also chastised the man for posting the videos before talking to the girls. The post was shared two days ago and pulled 300K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Had this been committed in the time, it would have been a prank, mostly played by children. But it's well past midnight. It should be reported and followed properly. Women or no women. Drunk or otherwise. Period,” a user said. “Remember that everyone makes mistakes, and it's important to approach conflicts with the goal of understanding and growth, rather than punishment,” commented the next. “Bruh these things can be resolved with a small warning to them,” joined a third.

“They’re drunk it seems. I never judge drunk people. I’d say warn them first before posting things publicly,” said another.  “Are you suggesting you never f**ked up in life? Such a minor issue being blown out of proportion with malicious and vexatious intention to run a vilification campaign against these young women,” commented another.
