Probably in a first, the Dubai princess, Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, dumped her husband on social media, allegedly for infidelity. The Dubai princess, daughter of United Arab Emirates vice-president and Prime Minister, Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, married her husband last year in May after the couple announced their engagement in March. The two, Sheikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, also welcomed a baby girl this year in May. However, only yesterday, the princess took to her Instagram handle to dump her husband.
Seemingly following the Triple Talaq system, the princess divorced her husband through the same Insta post, which went viral almost immediately. “Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you. I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife,” read the post.
The post was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘hhshmahra’. The post was shared yesterday and pulled 35K likes from people.

The post went viral in an instant. Needless to say, most people sided with the Dubai princess and chastised her husband for cheating, while the rest lauded her move and dubbed her a ‘strong woman’ for standing up for herself.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “But the divorce will occur from Husband’s side, right? And Wife have to choose Khul’?” a user said. “I find it empowering when a woman recognizes her worth and confidently stands her ground,” added a second person. “Please choose a tall man next time,” added another.
“What is happening inside men's brains? You have a beautiful wife with a famous family, you have a daughter, you have money, what the hell are you doing with other women,” commented a fourth person. “Princess he doesn’t deserve you !!! Now book a trip to Indonesia or somewhere and enjoy life without barriers!!!!” added another.
