Viral Video: Indian street food is considered one of the tangiest and tastiest in the world, especially for people who have a tongue for it! However, in the last few years, the same mouth-watering Indian street food has also faced significant criticism and badmouthing over its hygiene. Using the same ‘content angle’, there are quite a few foreign vloggers who were seen trying desi street food not for the taste of it but to rather check its hygiene. Doing something similar, another incident came forward, where a foreign vlogger shared a video of him trying out street food in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi. Calling it a potential ‘fast food or last food’, the man surely ended on the wrong side of the desi internet.

The video, after getting shared, mostly left people upset. A majority of netizens questioned the man’s intention to try out Indian street food, while the rest criticised him for insulting the country and its hygiene.

The video was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘Francesco Sercia’. The post was captioned, “Do you think I will survive two months here in India? Indian street food is like a roller coaster for your taste buds. One second, you’re savoring the crunchy bliss of **pani puri** – a crisp shell filled with spicy, tangy water that you have to pop in your mouth before it self-destructs. Next, you’re trying **vada pav**, basically Mumbai’s answer to a burger, except this one’s loaded with enough chili to make your eyes water and question life choices.”

“And just when you’re catching your breath, you dive into **chaat**—a chaotic mix of yogurt, tamarind, and crunchy noodles. It’s sweet, spicy, tangy, and confusingly delicious. By now, you’re sweating, probably teary-eyed, and absolutely hooked,” the post further read.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Bhaang* it's a different form like weed and hash are the same plant but different. I hope you had fun lol. This sh*t can be intense,” a user said. “With all due disrespect. Done with white people coming to India. Go, travel to other countries,” commented a second person.

“If you are coming here to see if you can survive then I'd prefer you stay in your own country,” added a third person. “I like that you liked the lassi. But we Indians are so done with White dudes thinking India is a dangerous country. Let me spell it out. We are not the USA where someone will carry out mass shootings. So, we are much up above in terms of safety,” added another.
