India, throughout the summers this year, desperately waited for some rain to bring relief from the scorching heat amid which the temperatures even crossed the 50-degree celsius mark in some parts of the country. However, the downpour that was supposed to bring relief to people, instead brought a new set of issues as several cities in the country ended up flooding with rainwater. From Gurugram, Mumbai and Delhi to Bengaluru and more, people in most metropolitan cities are facing the wrath of incessant rain, resulting in property damage and even casualties. Amid this, a Gujarat man shared his ordeal on social media, where he allegedly suffered a loss in lakhs after 3 of his expensive cars drowned in rainwater.
As per the man’s post, the incident happened in Vadodara. The man also shared pictures of his cars that were partially submerged in dirty rainwater.
The post went viral after it was shared, as people couldn't stop reacting. Most sympathised with the man and suggested calling service centres for help, while the rest blamed the authorities for the poor drainage system.
The post was shared on Reddit, by the handle ‘Lazy_Management_6206’. The post read, “There’s nothing left to live for anymore.” “All the 3 cars mentioned in my flair are now gone. Location - Vadodara, Gujarat,” read the description. The post was shared two days ago and pulled 1.1K upvotes from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “I wish we could hold municipal corporations accountable for waterlogging of this magnitude. It's done in the UK. This is the only we can make sure we get the service we deserve. Just heartbreaking seeing cars ruined for no fault of our own,” a user said.
“Our issue is that we only vote in state and center elections. Not in municipal ones. If we do, then some accountability can be ensured,” added a second person. “Sorry for the loss. Any possibility of salvaging them?” wrote a third person. “Call The service center, get them towed and checked. They might be saved,” added another.
